[LbNA]QUESTION: Gingerbread Jim Has Been Found!

From: Kathy Young (butterfinger1954@yahoo.com) | Date: 2007-01-27 06:54:07 UTC-08:00
This Gingerbread Jim story that I've been reading here
for a while is vedy, vedy intristing, but what does it
all mean? Is there a box out there in NH by that name
or is somebody just entertaining us while we endure
the LONG COLD winter with no boxing up here in the
north? Just wondering?.....

the whole deal with Gingerbread jim had been a story for sometime. it also is a series of boxes planted in NH, before called "saving Jim", now called "the adventures of gingerbread jim - #10 - saving jim"

as it has seemed to be much a story to get some through the harsh winter, there has been a story following the kidnapping for awhile. originally, he was to be kidnapped and held in san diego. with clues, LBers were to go find him there, and bring him back to NH, by means of replanting the box closer to NH when it is found. the actual box went missing in the mail, so i recarved and started a kidnapping series closer to home.

for some of you that have been following, Gingerbread jim has made it to the hospital, and isn't doing so hot. there are signs that he may not make it. we all hope for the best for Jim. he has been through enough already.

This is just so bittersweet. I feel your pain.

"Someone left the gingerbread man out in the rain, all that sweet white icing flowing doooown. I don't think that I can take it! It took so long to bake it! And I'll never have that recipe agaaaain..."

Not to be insensitive, but do you have a picture of Jim as he looks now? I know how gingerbread reacts with milk, so I'm morbidly curious about how it holds up to classic mailman weather conditions.

since his rescue, no pictures have been taken due to the condition he is in.

sherri does seem to be taking things well. she was very happy to have Jim back, but has kept mostly to herself. i have always felt that she is a good cookie and is nothing to worry about. hopefuly soon, the kidnapper will get his day in court, and justice will be served.
